Alternative Campers

Hi, I'm Zoe. I set up Alternative Campers in order to combine my joinery skills and eye for detail, together with my passion for design and love of campervans. My Partner Sarah works behind the scenes with our social media and administration. Having lived and travelled the world in these tiny mobile homes, we have a good understanding of what works and how best to use every nook and cranny of space.

We love the journey of working with people to create beautiful, bespoke, one off conversions. Each one being completely tailor-made with individual, quirky and personalised elements making each one completely different to the next. 

Whether you are looking for a weekend family camper, a completely off grid home from home.... for whatever journey is calling – we can work with you to create your dream van.

We love all things outdoorsy from kite surfing, sailing, paddle boarding and surfing, to hiking, climbing and mountain biking. We know how important it is to fit all the things you want to use while exploring into your van. Trust me, we never travel light. So we have plenty of ideas of how to house surf boards, kite kit, bikes... the entire garden shed!

You can find us busying away in our workshop nestled in the village of Lympstone, in Devon.
